Amber refers to an orange-brown gemstone and can mean “volatile, temperamental, cheerful and active”. Ombré is the change from light to dark and from dark to light. In this cabaret, Strydom, Mouton and Rall weave a fabric of sound and words by harnessing music, stories and poetry that express shades of dark and light – from sadness and malice to cheerful and mocking. With music by Johannes Kerkorrel, Melissa Etheridge, Ariel Ramirez, Jacques Brel and Ramses Shaffy.
