This initiative gives festival-goers access to the creative spaces of local artists. At set times, participating artists are available in their studios. Strijdom is a land artist who uses the material he finds in the landscape and rearranges or processes it into geometric patterns. All that remains of the fleeting works is documentation. He also makes wooden sculptures with a strong reference to totem poles – this work is more decorative in nature. Al wat van die vlietende werke agterbly, is dokumentasie. Hy maak ook houtbeeldhouwerke met ’n sterk verwysing na totempale – dié werk is meer dekoratief van aard.
