Dawid returns to Alexander Bay after 15 years with an important assignment. He has to ensure that the community of the town where he grew up gives approval for a government project that will affect the whole of South Africa. However, his sister Maria, estranged from Dawid for years, is determined to shove obstacles in the way of this project that will profoundly disrupt the lives of the fishing community.
