Dalene Matthee wrote 13 books. She is best known for her “Forest Novels” set around Knysna: Circles in a Forest, Fiela’s Child, The Mulberry Forest and Dreamforest. Her books have been translated into 14 languages, and she has received various awards. Circles in a Forest and Fiela’s Child have been prescribed books in schools for over 20 years. She is one of very few Afrikaans authors of whom over 1 million Afrikaans books have been sold. This documentary sheds light on the fascinating author.
