70-year old Daniel Hart abducts his dementia-riddled wife, Elna, from her retirement home and attempts to drive her to the coast where he plans to steal a sailboat so they can finally travel the world as they always planned. Meanwhile, his three adult children try to track them down. On the road Daniel desperately tries to relive their love affair with a wife who is rapidly losing her grip on reality. A couple of kilometres behind them, their estranged children have to deal with the grief of losing their mother as family secrets surface.
