Onse Afrikaans

The Stigting vir Bemagtiging deur Afrikaans (SBA)’s Onse Afrikaans is a series of video recordings by Sandra Prinsloo that explores the unique nature, character and origins of the diverse varieties and dialects of Afrikaans. Each episode is supplemented with sign language and English subtitles. During the Woordfees, 11 episodes will be showcased: Kaaps, Sabela, Karoo Afrikaans, Bo-Kaap Afrikaans, Rehoboth Afrikaans, Rasta Afrikaans, Tsotsitaal/Flaaitaal, Namakwaland Afrikaans, Gariep/Orange River Afrikaans, Graaffrikaans and Gayle.
