You are invited to join the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees in celebrating 25 years of art, culture and expression. This year’s theme is “share”.
As has become the tradition, we’ll gather for another sunny festival in the Stellenbosch springtime from 11 to 19 October, and your sketches, cartoons and illustrations could be part of the festival theme and celebrations.
What does the word ‘share’ mean to you?
Share your creations with the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees team and they might form part of our marketing campaign and creative identity for the year. Last year we played, and now we’re ready to share. Contributions will be accepted up until the end of the festival, which can also be used for later Woordfees events such as the Woordtrofees Awards Ceremony. Upload your creative contributions hier.
The program for the 2025 Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees will be announced on 20 June at a special event and will also be shared on the festival’s website and communication and social media platforms. As in the past, the program will consist of 12 genres: Theatre, Toyota Music Festival, EasyEquities Writers’ Festival, Classical Music, Discourse, Children’s Festival, Comedy, Lifestyle, Visual Art, Film Festival, Dance, Words Open Worlds Festival (WOW).

By submitting your work to the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees open call, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Ownership & Rights:
You confirm you are the original creator of the designs, illustrations or written content (hereafter referred to as “content”) submitted, and that you own the full rights to them. - Granting of Rights:
By submitting your work, you grant the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees non-exclusive rights to use your content for promotional purposes related to the festival, including but not limited to print, digital and social media platforms. This usage is royalty-free. - Editing of Content:
The Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees reserves the right to edit, adapt or modify your content as needed for the festival’s purposes. This may include adjustments for use across various platforms and media. - Selection & Recognition:
The Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees will decide which content will be used. If your content is selected for use, your name will be credited on the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees website for recognition. If you prefer to remain anonymous and do not wish to receive recognition, please submit your work anonymously. - No Compensation:
Submitting your content does not guarantee compensation or payment. If your content is selected for use, you will not be entitled to any form of payment unless otherwise stated. - Indemnity:
By submitting your content, you agree to indemnify the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, its employees, contractors and partners from any legal claims or disputes arising from the use of your submitted content. - Confidentiality:
Your personal information and content will be treated with respect and confidentiality. If you prefer to remain anonymous and do not wish to receive recognition (should your content be chosen), please submit your content anonymously. - Modification of Terms & Conditions:
The Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees reserves the right to update or modify the terms set out in this document at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review it regularly.
