Not just a pretty space

The Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden is known and loved as a green lung, relaxation and plant spotting nexus in the town. Recently the garden won international acclaim for its conservation and plant advocacy work. Botanist Rupert Koopman will show you their innovative displays highlighting threatened fynbos ecosystems, the special botanical art and photography exhibition (running from 3 October to 1 November) and the late spring flowering wonders of the garden.
