André Schwartz: Die kronieke van Buks

Buks is a small white chihuahua who believes he’s as big as a rhinoceros. He trots from house to house through the dusty streets of Paul Roux, overhearing gossip and secrets, while being spoiled with tasty treats and juicy bits of news. Through Buks’s eyes, the lives of the townspeople are revealed. He becomes the gateway into a community slowly falling apart, where people live on the edge of chaos. The characters are unique, frighteningly familiar and sometimes very strange. Amidst the pain and the humour lies the music. Billy Joel, André Schwartz, Charles Aznavour and many more provide a soundtrack for this tiny town – a microcosm of the world in which we all live.
