Ateljeebesoeke: Katie Ferringer

During her earlier years as a painter, Katie explored abstract subjects, but this has evolved into an embrace of realism. Her current series explores the interplay of water on the human form and capturing this energy and light on the canvas. She is now looking to take this into a new direction, with an in-depth study of light, flight and weightlessness, and the endless possibilities of the sky.
For her, the creative process can never be altogether pre-determined but is an endless journey of exploration and self-discovery.
