This work depicts women’s journeys of homecoming – a return to land and water, a journey of memories. The artists “walk” with their fore-mothers, our fore-mothers, and so transform this act of movement into an act of remembering. The performance celebrates the labor and resilience borne by generations of women as they, through the earth, return to themselves and in doing so, we find ourselves.
