Bach’s Coffee Cantata will be performed in Afrikaans for the first time at the Woordfees. Since coffee first appeared in Europe, it has captivated people. Bach composed his comical Coffee Cantata in the 1730s as a social commentary. Koffiekan offers a take on Stellenbosch’s popular coffee culture and takes us on an adventure of humorous coffee songs that will leave many a coffee snob choking on their espresso!
