Earlier this year, there was drama at the White House. Words such as “genocide” and “land grabbing” were thrown around freely while Julius Malema shouted, “Kill the Boer.” What does sharing mean in a country with such deeply rooted inequality? Is “sharing” inseparable from “taking”, when not enough is being given? And how does the gospel speak of sharing – as an invitation or as a threat?
