Stadskoor | -Choir | -iKwayara invites you on a journey where words become music and music becomes memory. Inspired by Bibi Slippers’ poetry collection Soekenjin, this vibrant new production transforms her verses into living soundscapes. Newly composed choral works weave rhythm and emotion into Slippers’ words. Her poems are spoken, sung and read aloud, creating a shimmering dialogue between voice, music, and text. The production also draws from South Africa’s popular music culture of the past two decades.
