Kleinode uit die Afrikaanse musiekskat: Prof. Gawie Cillié, eerw. Frederik Hein en ander
“Oom Gawie” was an academic, astronomer, choir conductor and “song seeker”. He would get excited about all music: Steynsrust’s Liedboek, Reverend Frederik Hein’s handwritten Notenboek, Seodin School’s calligraphy School Song, the operetta Grenspos with music by Pierre Malan and Lofsangen by S. le Roux Marais.
