Be among the first to view extracts from the first ever feature-length film on the life and work of artist Irma Stern. The documentary, led by filmmaker Sean O’Sullivan, features rare archival footage—including a remarkable 1945 clip of Stern’s Cape Town exhibition where The Arab Prince was first shown—as well footage from the current Irma Stern exhibition at the Brücke Museum in Berlin.
Art historian Anne Graaff, co-producer of the film with Tessa Graaff, will be joined by Amanda Botha—who knew Stern personally—to share behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the film and Stern’s enduring legacy.
