Come and kick up some dust in Afrikaans! At the Velddraf (field run), you’re more than just a number. Participants run or walk with a unique Afrikaans word as their registration number. Everyone is welcome to sign up – you might be “mampoer” (moonshine) or “maaifoedie” (troublemaker), “agteros” (straggler) or “spoedvraat” (speed freak). Come take part and rediscover the tongue-twisting terms and words that make Afrikaans so delightfully expressive.
