Maurice Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortilèges is a musical treasure chest that bursts open the moment a naughty child decides that discipline is for the birds. Chairs begin to speak, teacups complain about bad manners, and animals and arithmetic problems demand the respect they deserve. This mini-opera is part fairy tale, part dream, with music that gives each character their own unique sound . Performed by the talented young vocal students of SU this is a programme that is short, colourful, and absolutely unforgettable!
