Ahead of her 70th birthday in September, three books from Joan Hambidge‘s pen will be published: a collected volume of selected poems, her latest novel, Hart sonder hawe, and a tribute volume for her late friend Johann de Lange (co-authored with Johann Lodewyk Marais). Ronel Foster talks to Hambidge about the novel, the tribute volume and other highlights in her long career as a writer, academic and reviewer. (A discussion about the collected volume, Amberkamer: Gedigte uit die 21ste eeu, will take place at the Poetry Day event.)
