The beloved Langtafel is not just a convivial feast – it’s the official launch of the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, a spring celebration featuring a truly South African culinary journey. Once again, the Long Table was set beneath the oaks among the beautiful old buildings in the festival hub on Ryneveld Street. Award-winning food writer, chef, and TV personality Herman Lensing brought his unique flair and warmth to the table.
Nothing awakens the senses quite like style. With elegant décor and festive streetlights, the Langtafel was also a feast for the eyes, creating an inviting atmosphere.
The true magic of the Langtafel lies in the people who make it both possible and memorable. Every guest contributed to a joyful evening with sparkling spirits. There was joking, laughter, and a genuine celebration.
The Langtafel was also a celebration of 25 years of the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees. It reflected our theme – everything we share and that connects us – community, art, culture, and stories. Carla McKenzie hosted the evening, with entertainment by Moonshine and the Nomadic Orchestra.
