Bly Vrydag is bonanza for all arts lovers

The Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees offers more than 1 700 tickets for this year’s festival at discounts ranging from 20% to 80% on Bly Vrydag [Happy Friday], 26 September 2025. All tickets available on the Bly Vrydag sale will be priced at only R50 each.
Several lucky draws and competitions will also take place during the day.

“We want to give as many Stellenbosch residents as we can the opportunity to attend performances during the festival. Therefore, we kindly request people who can afford full-price tickets, not to take advantage of the special offers on Bly Vrydag,” says Saartjie Botha, director of the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees.

This is how Bly Vrydag works:

Buyers can pay cashless.
Discounted tickets are only available at the three sales points mentioned below at the times indicated.
The offer only applies to selected performances.
The amount of discounted tickets per performance is limited.
A fixed number of tickets are available at each sales point.
A maximum of two tickets per person for each performance per sales point.
A maximum of six tickets per person per sales point.
For R50 tickets, no reservations or telephone bookings can be made. The reservation or exchanging of Bly Vrydag tickets is not possible
