Ateljeebesoeke: Izette Roos

Izette sculpts in wood and ceramics. Her work reflects our domestic desires as human beings – what we believe we are and what we believe we deserve. She uses ordinary, everyday objects as symbols of this longing. In execution her work is brightly coloured, almost childlike, like comic strip drawings – flat surfaces that assemble into three-dimensional sculptures.
