NG MOEDERKERK-EREDIENSTE “Christ plays in ten thousand places” is a quote from a poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins, and also the title of a book by Eugene Peterson. This theme is reflected upon in both these services through liturgy, the Word and music: creation as a playground; God’s hand in history and also in society, where the sacred and the everyday are intertwined. Violinist Johanna Roos will play at both services. On September 29, members of Koorinsident and the Stellenbosch Madrigal Singers will perform under the baton of Elsje Kemp, and on 6 October The Cape Choral Academy under the baton of Xander Kritzinger.
