Jazz by die Konserve: Awaken & Siba Gysman Project

Experience a two-set jazz concert with members of the SU Jazz Division, fresh from stages at Montreux Jazz Festival Franschhoek, KKNK and the Suidoosterfees. The Awaken Jazz Project, proud winners of the 2025 SU National Ensembles Competition’s Open Category, opens with vibrant South African works and originals, followed by the Siba Gysman Tribute Project, with jazz flute centre stage in a tribute to Bheki Mseleku and Afrika Mkhize. Bring your instrument along, each night ends with a lively jam session with the performers.
