The Toyota SU Woordfees is declaring 28 September 2022 Wild Wednesday when more than 1 000 tickets for this year’s festival will be available at discounts of between 20%-80%. All tickets available on the Wild Wednesday sale cost only R40 each. Several lucky draws and competitions will also take place during the day.
“We want to give as many Stellenboschers as possible the chance to attend productions during the festival. We, therefore, respectfully ask those who can afford full price tickets to please not take advantage of these Wild Wednesday specials,” says Saartjie Botha, Director of the Toyota SU Woordfees.
Some 100 of the productions on this year’s Woordfees programme will be included in the Wild Wednesday sale.
This includes the popular Toyota Jan Marais Park open-air concerts:
- Early B
- Karen Zoid
- Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels
- Spoegwolf
- Bongeziwe Mabandla
- Eet kreef! Herleef!
A variety of theatre tickets will also be made available as well as discounted tickets for exciting productions like Die poet, wie’s hy? and Al om Antjie.
This is how Wild Wednesday works.:
- Buyers can pay with cash or by bank card.
- Tickets are only available at the three points mentioned below at the times indicated.
- The offer applies only to selected performances.
- The number of discount tickets per performance is limited.
- A fixed number of tickets are available at each sales point.
- – A maximum of two tickets per person for each performance per sales point.
- A maximum of six tickets per person per sales point.
- These discounted tickets cannot be booked or reserved by telephone. It is also not possible to reserve or exchange Wild Wednesday tickets.
Wild Wednesday tickets can be bought at the following sales points at the indicated times:
07:00 – 08:00: at Lückhoff High School
10:00 – 11:30: at Erfurthuis (on the front stoep)
12:30 – 13:30: Pniel Banquet Hall (in the same building as the library), Helshoogte Road, Pniel
17:30 – 18:30: Erfurthuis at the ticket office
